Everton are believed to be preparing a bid for a player who is enjoying a “simply phenomenal” season, according to a fresh transfer update.
Moyes eyeing ideal summer signings at Everton
David Moyes has turned around the Blues’ fortunes this season, staving off the threat of relegation and making supporters dream of more positive times ahead.
The Everton manager will know that reinforcements are needed in various positions this summer, however, in order for his side to go up a level. Semih Kilicsoy has been mentioned as a strong rumoured target for the Merseysiders, with the Besiktas forward also wanted by the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

A return to the Blues for Richarlison has even been mooted in recent weeks, with the Brazilian possibly leaving Tottenham in the summer transfer window. It does appear to be more unlikely than likely as things stand, though, because of his price tag and wage demands.
Another attacking player who has been linked with a switch to Everton is Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, in what would be an audacious piece of business. The Serb has been a top-quality player for some time now, scoring 55 goals in 135 appearances for the Serie A giants.
Everton readying offer for "phenomenal" attacker
According to The Boot Room, Everton and The Friedkin Group are “readying a move” for Strasbourg teenager Emanuel Emegha this summer, seeing him as a potentially strong addition.
BlueCo, who own both Chelsea and Strasbourg, are “keen to cash in” while the 22-year-old’s “stock is high”, but it is noted that the Blues face competition for his signature.
Emegha isn’t yet the household name that some Everton supporters may dream of signing this summer, but that’s not to say that he wouldn’t be a great addition for Moyes.
The Dutchman has scored 11 goals in 21 matches in Ligue 1 this season, also chipping in with two assists, and football talent scout Jacek Kulig has hailed the “simply phenomenal” campaign that he is enjoying.
Emegha has also proven his worth on the international stage for the Netherlands, representing his country across four different age groups, including netting three times in seven caps for the Under-21s.
With doubts persisting over the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton beyond this summer, the Strasbourg youngster stands out as a great option to be his successor leading the line.

Barca to sign Dinamo wonderkid VarelaWill not join the Catalans right awayPortuguese will remain on loan with Croatian sideFollow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱WHAT HAPPENED?
reports that Barcelona have secured the signing of the 16-year-old from Dinamo Zagreb in a deal brokered by agent Andy Bara. The highly-rated Portuguese winger will officially join the Catalan club for an initial €5 million fee, but will remain at Dinamo for at least one more season. Barca were monitoring the player for over six months, with the youngster arriving at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper facilities in December and his agents holding meetings with the club.

Although the release clause in Varela’s Dinamo contract was just €5m, Barcelona had first-refusal rights and moved quickly. However, instead of activating the clause outright, Dinamo CEO Zvonimir Boban renegotiated more favorable terms for the Croatian side. As part of the deal, Barcelona secured the player immediately, while Dinamo retain him on loan, with a view to him joining the Blaugrana in 2026 if deemed ready. The deal includes up to €10m in achievable bonuses and clauses based on future appearances.
DID YOU KNOW?
Varela’s original contract allowed him to leave Dinamo without playing a single match with the first team, with the €5m fee split 54:46 between Dinamo and the player’s family — leaving the club with just €2.7m. Boban, concerned that Dinamo would become a mere stepping stone, stepped in decisively. He convinced all parties — including Varela’s family — that staying longer would better serve the player’s development and Dinamo’s sporting ambitions.

Varela will aim to impress the Barca management in the coming season, given that the Catalans currently lack depth in the left wing position. If he fast-tracks his progress and development, the Portugal U17 star could join the likes of Lamine Yamal in 2026.
Liverpool’s business stretch should be a processional march toward the Premier League title, 12 points ahead of second-place Arsenal. However, it ain’t over til the fat lady sings, something those of a Reds persuasion will know only too well.
There’s plenty of noise coming from Liverpool circles right now, and understandably so. Trent Alexander-Arnold is all but set to leave for Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the term, while the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah remain up in the air.
Ultimately, Los Blancos usually get what they want, adding Trent to a list of recent Bosmans including Antonio Rudiger and Kylian Mbappe. For sporting director Richard Hughes, business as usual. He’s got plenty to do on the incoming front, but just as much in regard to sorting out those who need to be sold.
Who Liverpool need to sell this summer
On Wednesday evening, news broke that Newcastle United have placed Jarell Quansah at the top of their list of targets for the summer.
The Liverpool centre-back, 21, has been reduced to a bit-part role under Arne Slot and – we’re all thinking it – such a sale could be used to facilitate a move for Alexander Isak (we can dream).
While Conor Bradley stands a swinging chance of stepping into Trent’s boots next year, signing a left-back is one of Slot’s most urgent demands; indeed, Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is being pursued and pointers suggest this one may come to fruition.
This would mean one of Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas would need to leave. The defenders combine for around £235k per week, so adding a hungry third to the mix wouldn’t make sense without concessions.
Up top, much more uncertainty reigns. Salah may yet leave (perish the thought) and the general profligacy of Liverpool’s other forwards calls for dramatic action. That is to say, the likes of Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz are all endangered species on Merseyside, surely playing for their future over these final weeks of the campaign.
Darwin Nunez warming up for Liverpool
While it would be ridiculous to allow all of these attacking players to leave, some certainly will. Liverpool, of course, will need to strengthen, and a fast-rising star has been added to the wish list as the window prepares to swing its shutters wide.
Liverpool lining up new forward
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have begun work on a new signing, making their first enquiries about Southampton teenager Tyler Dibling, with the fleet-footed winger attracting significant attention as the transfer window draws near.
Transfer Focus
Mega money deals, controversial moves and big-name flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinion across Football FanCast.
Interest in the youngster is fierce. Southampton are effectively condemned to relegation from the Premier League in their first season back but Dibling, 19, has shone throughout.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also regarded as firm suitors, but the reality is many, many more will want a shot at his signature.
And that signature, by the way, won’t come cheap. The England U21 international is actually reported to be worth a mind-boggling £100m, a valuation Saints are headset on maintaining through the summer months.
What Liverpool should do about Tyler Dibling
Dibling is a terrific young player, proving through his breakout season that he’s got the skill, athleticism and confidence to succeed at the highest level.
Southampton's TylerDiblingin action with AFC Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen
Fast-tracked to the front of the Southampton hierarchy, Dibling has scored four goals and added two assists across 30 matches in all competitions, but in truth, numbers reveal little more than the prologue of his season.
Remarked to be an “unreal talent” by analyst Ben Mattinson, Dibling’s dribbling ability and willingness to take on fearsome Premier League defenders has earned him acclaim. Moreover, a youthful knack for competing across a range of positions has allowed Russell Martin and then Ivan Juric to maximise his output.

Stats via Transfermarkt
Dibling has completed 39 dribbles in the top flight this season, ranking him joint-16th in the division with one fewer carry than Liverpool’s Diaz. This may not appear particularly noteworthy, but he’s a force of forward drive who continuously looks to make things happen in an outfit where not much positivity goes on at all.
He also ranks among the top 5% of Premier League wingers for fouls drawn per 90, as per FBref, an eel-like running style to leave opponents unstuck, forced into hacking him down.
But there’s an elephant in the room, one which suggests Liverpool should not actually move to sign Dibling. Let’s revisit Southampton’s financial demands: payment totalling £100m.
This would mean Liverpool need to break the bank to sign a largely untested teenager with little assurance that he will meet that lofty valuation down the line.
Dibling might be combative and electric, but he’s only created two big chances across the Premier League campaign, as per Sofascore, yet to assist.
To sign Dibling in keeping with St. Mary’s current demands, Liverpool would eclipse the club-record £85m fee paid to Benfica for Nunez’s services in 2022.
Darwin Nunez warming up for Liverpool
Nunez, who was 22 at the time, was hand-picked by Jurgen Klopp following a stunning 2021/22 campaign that saw him fire 34 goals from 41 matches for the Eagles, including two in the Champions League against Liverpool.
Having come close to leaving Liverpool for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr in the summer, the Uruguay international is expected to be sold at the end of the season, having scored just seven times under Slot’s wing and with just eight Premier League starts besides, scarcely missing any football due to injury or illness this term.
In hindsight, Liverpool paid over the odds on an untested talent who was ostensibly tasked with replacing Roberto Firmino in the long term. Now, Dibling may well be taking Salah’s long-held place on the right flank, and is this really a move to ignite the requisite output needed to stay at the front of the European pack?
Moreover, with Ben Doak, also 19, enjoying such a fine season on loan with Middlesbrough in the Championship, is there really just cause to lodge such a mammoth figure on a player of a similar ilk, one who may actually hamper the Scotland international’s development?
When Southampton fall, there’s a chance that they will be forced into lowering their valuation, but unless it’s far more affordable, giving Liverpool plenty of room for investment elsewhere, this may be one Liverpool need to accept they won’t win.

Brighton are interested in £40m Elliott He has played a bit-part role under Arne Slot Seagulls could offer Elliott more first-team football Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱WHAT HAPPENED?
Brighton have identified England U21 midfielder as a top target according to The Sun, and feel that they can tempt Elliott with a £40m move to the Amex Stadium with the offer of a starring role to play in the Seagulls' attractive brand of football. Fabian Hurzeler's side reportedly believe that Elliott can take them to a new level, be that from a central role or out wide.

Elliott is a boyhood Liverpool fan, but has spoken out previously about his desire to play more regular first-team football, though he previously hoped that would be at Anfield. With the recent arrival of Florian Wirtz, Elliott is likely to fall further down the Reds' pecking order and may reluctantly decide that his best option is to move and kick-start his career elsewhere. Nottingham Forest have also been reported to hold an interest, but it is thought that Elliott would prefer a move to Brighton due to their attacking style of play.
DID YOU KNOW?
Elliott became the youngest-ever player to start a game for Liverpool at the time back in September 2019, aged 16 years and 174 days. Having joined the Reds from Fulham in a high-profile transfer for such a young player that summer, Elliott was touted for big things and saw his influence within the squad gradually increase under Jurgen Klopp. He has made 147 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, but just 28 in 2024/25 after 53 the previous season.

Elliott has a big decision to make this summer about where his long-term future lies, particularly with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon as he aims to force himself into Thomas Tuchel's plans. Brighton may have to deal with the departure of Joao Pedro this summer, and will be hoping, as ever, to find their next young gems in the transfer market.

West Ham United are now in pole position to sign a “phenomenal” midfielder, having moved ahead of rivals Tottenham Hotspur and a whole host of other Premier League clubs in the race for his signature, according to a report.
Hammers ramping up midfielder pursuit
As we approach the business end of the campaign, West Ham have little to play for, with Premier League safety more or less confirmed, which means they may have one eye on potential additions for the summer transfer window.
A new midfielder is of particular interest to the Hammers, who are now ramping up their pursuit of new options in the middle of the park, and they are ready to make a move for Lille’s Angel Gomes, with the Englishman set to be available on a free transfer.
Graham Potter is believed to be a big fan of the 24-year-old, but he is not the only English midfielder on the shortlist, with widespread recent reports linking the Irons with a move for Sunderland’s Chris Rigg.

"Phenomenal" Rigg needs to take next step
It will probably be a difficult decision for the Sunderland-born midfielder to leave his hometown club, but if they remain a second tier side next season, it would probably be a wise decision to seek pastures new.
Freelance scout Ben Mattinson has spoken very highly of the starlet, describing him as “phenomenal”, while describing him as a “technically gifted midfielder capable of moments of brilliance”.
Sunderland'sChrisRigg
Earlier in the campaign, Mattinson also stated the youngster is capable of being a “game-changer”, which has been on display at times this season, with the Englishman bagging four goals in the Championship.
Rigg is showing signs he is ready to take the next step in his career by moving to the Premier League, so it is fantastic news that West Ham are well-positioned to win the race for his signature.
