أكد أحمد أبو عبلة طبيب الأهلي أن عمرو السولية أجرى بعض الفحوصات الطبية اليوم الجمعة لتحديد موقفه من المشاركة في مباراة الفريق أمام وفاق سطيف الجزائري ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

ويحتضن ملعب السلام مباراة الأهلي ووفاق سطيف غدًا السبت في جولة الذهاب من نصف نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وأوضح طبيب الأهلي في تصريحات عبر موقع النادي الرسمي أن عمرو السولية أدى تدريبات استشفائية على هامش  التدريبات الجماعية للفريق، والتي أقيمت عصر اليوم الجمعة على ملعب التتش بالجزيرة.

وأضاف أبو عبلة أن الجهاز الفني فضل خوض السولية بعض التدريبات الاستشفائية في المران، مشيرًا إلى أن اللاعب سيتحدد موقفه من اللحاق بالمباراة بناءً على نتيجة الفحوصات الطبية التي تظهر مساء اليوم.

جدير بالذكر أن عمرو السولية يعاني من شد خفيف في العضلة الخلفية، ولم يشارك في مباراة الأهلي السابقة ببطولة الدوري والتي تعادل فيها مع سيراميكا كليوباترا بهدفٍ لمثله.

Depois de mais de três meses, a espera do Vasco chega ao fim. Nesta terça-feira, Luis Fabiano enfim desembarca no Aeroporto Santos Dumont, no Centro do Rio de Janeiro, com promessa de festa histórica da torcida. E o primeiro dia do Fabuloso na capital fluminense será cheio. O site do LANCE! transmite em tempo real a partir das 7h.

O desembarque de Luis Fabiano está programado para às 9h. A torcida promete festa desde às 7h em uma espécie de concentração. São esperados mais de três mil pessoas na chegada do Fabuloso com sua família no Rio de Janeiro. No aeroporto, o atacante deve ficar por cerca de 30 minutos, antes de seguir com a sua programação especial.

Do aeroporto, Luis Fabiano segue para São Januário, onde terá uma “cerimônia íntima” com o presidente Eurico Miranda. Esta atividade será a única do dia que não será aberta para a imprensa. Do estádio, o atacante vai para a sede náutica do clube, na Lagoa, onde será apresentado para os jornalistas com a diretoria às 12h45.

A programação na sede náutica está com duração prevista 1h. De lá, Luis Fabiano retorna para São Januário, onde fará o primeiro treino com o elenco do Vasco. O início da atividade está programado para 15h, e será todo aberto à imprensa – há a expectativa de ser liberada também a presença da torcida, o que será definido na manhã desta terça-feira.

O fim do treino deve acontecer por volta das 17h, quando termina o primeiro dia de atividades de Luis Fabiano no Rio de Janeiro. O contrato de dois anos assinado com o Vasco está valendo e a expectativa passará a ser de sua estreia. A festa vascaína está garantida de qualquer forma neste dia fabuloso!

This has been recreated after the Eden Park Trust Board decided it would not use contract services as it has used in recent years.The difference in climates could not be more pronounced in New Zealand terms – the harsh, colder weather of Dunedin is in contrast to the semi-tropical humidity of Auckland.But dealing with the differences is one of the challenges of the job now ahead of Perham.In his six years at Carisbrook he has been a significant force in the ground having consistently produced one of the truest wickets in the country.While at an international level it has been mainly evidenced in One-Day Internationals, there have also been Test match wickets of class.Perham says the best Test pitch he prepared never saw the light of day. It was the rain abandoned 1998/99 pitch for the scheduled first Test between New Zealand and India. The pitch was used for an unofficial ODI played on the scheduled last day of the Test, but that was no true indication.Instead, he had to be satisfied with the last three outstanding ODIs played on the ground. In the last three summers the respective one-day series with Australia, Pakistan and England have been played out on superb pitches in Dunedin.Against Pakistan, New Zealand scored 290 to win the series with 1.5 overs left, and this year New Zealand beat England by scoring 223 with seven balls to spare.Earlier, in 1999/00, New Zealand were not quite so lucky after Australia scored 310/4 to which New Zealand replied with 260.”Probably one of the key things in developing the pitch here has been that I have been given a free rein.”No-one has ever said to me, ‘You can’t do that’,” he said.The quality of the pitch has developed from its management.”People don’t seem to realise that developing a pitch is a 365 days of the year job. It is not just about working on it three weeks before a Test match,” he said.That care involves covering the Carisbrook pitch anytime it rains and leaving as much grass on it as possible. Perham took soil samples all the time to keep an eye on what was happening with it.Once starting in the job after having been employed by the Pleasant Point Golf Club, he found it took about six to nine months to get the recipe right for the ground.”That was when I felt confident we had something. Weather plays a big part in it, while it is also important how you manage it in the off-season,” he said.Another facet that will be involved in his move to Auckland will be coming to grips with the new technology involved in portable pitches.”It is a young technology and I am looking forward to working in it,” he said.”One of the reasons for moving is to be involved in what they have planned at Eden Park over the next few years. They are reconstructing the main oval.”Also offering a challenge will be the world-wide problem of getting grass to grow in shaded areas of the Eden Park, particularly in the lea of the new North Stand.”There are shaded areas at Carisbrook as well, but clearly not as big a problem as in Auckland.”It will be hard to leave Dunedin and Carisbrook but I am looking forward to the challenge,” he said.He finishes at Carisbrook on August 18 and starts in Auckland on September 1.

Por isso, o treinador Mano Menezes deve mandar a campo um time alternativo. O próprio comandante, ao longo da semana, já havia antecipado isso. O esquema deve ser o 4-2-3-1, com Ábila centralizado.

Nem mesmo a possibilidade de encaminhar a classificação fez Menezes abrir mão do ‘rodízio’. Uma vitória da Raposa deixa o time, que venceu na estreia o Atlético-MG, com seis pontos e sem chances de ser ultrapassado pela própria Chape e Joinville ou Galo, que medem forças um pouco mais cedo, às 19h15, no Independência.

Assim como o Cruzeiro, a Chapecoense, que na última quarta-feira perdeu para o Avaí por 3 a 0, Campeonato Catarinense, também entra em campo logo mais com um time alternativo, recheado de jovens das categorias de base. É a opção viável para o time que, a princípio, jogaria duas vezes no mesmo dia. E, assim como o Cruzeiro, o Verdão do Oeste já volta a campo no próximo sábado, quando visita o Brusque pelo Catarinense.

Tal aperto no calendário parece ter tirado a paciência do treinador Vagner Mancini, que classificou a sequência de datas como ‘ridículas’.

-Até na semana passada eram dois jogos no mesmo dia. Eu vou definir usando apenas uma palavra: ridículo. Futebol brasileiro, em 2017, com dois jogos no mesmo dia… ridículo. Só isso que tenho a dizer – reclamou Mancini, que nem viaja para Belo Horizonte. Seu auxiliar, Emerson Cris comandará a Chape.

Será o primeiro jogo da Chapecoense fora de Santa Catarina desde a tragédia de novembro. Por conta disso, a Raposa prepara uma faixa para homenagear a Chape.

Matabeleland suffered a second defeat in the Castle Lager Logan Cup competition to Midlands over the weekend. This was probably an unexpected result given that Midlands were missing Marillier, Wishart, Price and Friend who are currently in India with the national side.Once again the question is asked, have Matabeleland the selectors capable of selecting the strongest and most balanced side for this first-class competition? One thinks and probably comes up with the answer, no.While there is the pattern of playing youngsters and giving them a chance, and the way forward, selectors do not necessarily need to do so in a four-day first-class competition. Both Hitz, who now seems to have been discarded at this stage, and Townshend, a former Academy player as well as a member of the development team that visited Kenya a couple of years ago, are better players than Mupariwa and to a lesser extent Mukondiwa.The batting line-up is weak at the prime positions of 3, 4 and 5, and this is where the lack of stability is evident and the results to date show this. A young player, Stu Walker, who is making runs consistently, has not even been considered for the squad. With Warren Gilmour leaving for the UK shortly, the vital position of wicketkeeper is now of concern. Siziba has kept wicket in the past, but is not the ideal replacement, and Walker could be the ideal player with his batting to take over.The game itself revealed the shortcomings in the batting when Matabeleland, batting first, were 68 for four within 90 minutes into a four-day game. The second innings saw Matabeleland 70 for five again in under 90 minutes, which reveals an apparent weakness that is costing the side dearly in the longer game.The highlight of the first innings was a superb century, 103 with 12 fours, by Wisdom Siziba who was unlucky to be last man out and so deprive himself of a further entry into the record books by carrying his bat for the second time, a feat he achieved on his first class debut, and scoring a century. His patience and application are an inspiration for his team-mates. In the second innings the only batsman to show any application of note was young Mike McKillop who scored 69 out of 213.As far as the bowling is concerned, only Ewing with five for 80 showed any control in a rather mediocre attack. Young Mupariwa has one for 153 in two games and Mukondiwa three for 133, also in two games, and with Townshend one for 148 in the first game, admittedly bowling to MackayWho scored his century in 46 balls, your pace attack is sadly lacking.From the Midlands team, Macmillan had a good game with both bat and ball and a call-up to the national squad should not be to far away. Duffin, the former Zimbabwe Under-19 captain, had two solid innings of 74 and 25 and looked a sound and compact opening batsman, while skipper Viljoen must be pleased with both his all-round performances and being the winning skipper.Matabeleland still have two hard matches to come, against Mashonaland A and Manicaland. One hopes the side will perform more positively for the rest of the season. . .

In what was a topsy-turvy game at St James’ Park, Newcastle’s valiant efforts went unrewarded as they slipped to an agonising 4-3 defeat at home to Manchester City.

Steve Bruce’s side let go of the proverbial handbrake and went after the recently-crowned champions of England, and took the lead on two separate occasions, only for Ferran Torres to extinguish their hopes with a fine hat-trick.

And while much of the Magpies’ performers on the night stood up to be counted, one man who really let his manager down, was Federico Fernandez.

The Argentine only recently returned to the first-team fold after a couple of months out with a thigh muscle strain, and looked all at sea against Pep Guardiola’s side’s free-flowing attack.

As per Sofascore, he made zero tackles and interceptions over the course of the game, and competed in just two duels, winning one.

Fernandez just looked a touch slower than everyone else in either getting to City’s attackers or reacting to danger, while he also had fewer touches than goalkeeper Martin Dubravka too.

He finished the game with a 5.9 match rating as per Sofascore, which was by far the lowest of any outfield player on the pitch.

And, writing in his post-match player ratings for The Shields Gazette, Liam Kennedy gave him a five, saying: “Looked a yard off the pace. Second to every ball. Since returning from injury it’s not been the best of runs in the side for the usually reliable Argentine.”

With his contract on Tyneside coming to an end this summer, and The Athletic claiming that his long-term future is in limbo, there’s a real decision for Bruce to make in these last couple of games.

The Athletic said: “Fernandez, however, does not have another extension clause in his contract, as Newcastle already enacted that option 12 months ago. Instead, fresh terms need to be agreed upon and, while preliminary talks have taken place with his representatives, a new deal has not yet been confirmed.

“Given the Argentinian is 32, Newcastle will be reluctant to hand him a multi-year contract, particularly considering the muscular problems he has faced since recovering from COVID-19. Fernandez is believed to be receptive to staying, though, and further talks are expected to take place.”

With his recent form, and uncertain future, surely Bruce would be better off taking Fernandez out of the team and perhaps giving an opportunity to one of the club’s academy talents?

في بداية كلمته، أعرب أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة عن سعادته باستضافة مصر لبطولة كأس العالم للجمباز الفني للرجال والسيدات، والمؤهلة لدورة الألعاب الأولمبية باريس 2024، مشيدًا بقيادات الاتحاد المصري للعبة برئاسة الدكتور إيهاب أمين ومجهودهم الكبير خلال الفترة الأخيرة، وهو ما تجسد في استضافة مصر لكبرى البطولات العالمية.

وقال الوزير إن الدولة المصرية تحت قيادة الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي باتت جاهزة لاستضافة كافة الأحداث الرياضية الكبرى، بعدما أصبحت البنية التحتية للمنشآت الرياضية على المستوى الأمثل، وفقًا لمتطلبات ومعايير كافة الاتحادات الدولية، واختتم الوزير حديثه قائلًا: “بسم الله.. نفتتح بطولة العالم للجمباز الفني في مصر”.

من جانبه، عبر حسن مصطفى رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة اليد، عن سعادته بالتطور الكبير الذي تشهده رياضة الجمباز في مصر، جاء ذلك خلال حفل افتتاح بطولة العالم للجمباز الفني رجال وسيدات، مشيرًا أن مصر حققت طفرة كبيرة في رياضة الجمباز خلال السنوات الماضية، فلم نكن نملك في الماضي فرص للمنافسة في البطولات الكبرى والآن أصبحت رياضة الجمباز ضمن الألعاب التي لديها قدرة كبيرة على المنافسة الدولية ، بفضل دعم القيادة السياسية في الدولة وجهود ودعم وزير الشباب والرياضة دكتور أشرف صبحي.

وأكد الياباني موري واتانابي، أنه فخور باستضافة مصر لبطولة كأس العالم للجمباز الفني رجال وسيدات، وأنه يكن لمصر معزة خاصة علي المستوي الشخصي والإنساني، مشيرًا إلى أنه سعيد للغاية بتواجده في أرض الفراعنة.

وتشهد البطولة إجراءات احترازية صارمة، لحماية الوفود المشاركة من فيروس كورونا المستجد كوفيد 19، مع ضرورة الالتزام بالتعليمات الوقائية من وزارة الصحة.

Crystal Palace are eyeing a summer move for RB Leipzig striker Hwang Hee-chan.

What’s the story?

Roy Hodgson’s side have once again endured a difficult Premier League season in front of goal, managing just 34 goals thus far – in fact, only five teams have scored less than them, and three of them sit in the relegation zone.

According to The Telegraph, Palace have got their eye on signing South Korea international Hwang, but that they are set to face significant competition from fellow Premier League rivals West Ham.

Erling Haaland loves him

While his career at RB Leipzig hasn’t exactly gone to plan – he’s scored just three goals in his debut campaign for the club – there’s no questioning that Hwang has got the potential to be a real star at Selhurst Park.

An article on Bundesliga.com raved about his ability to finish off both feet, while also having the speed, movement and trickery to be a real force up front.

It said: “Hwang is not dissimilar to Liverpool’s former Hoffenheim striker Firmino. Happy leading the line as part of either a duo or a front three, Leipzig’s first summer signing likes to get on the ball and has a trick or two up his sleeve to shake off a defender.

“Comfortable with both feet, with the strength to hold off an opponent and the pace to exploit space, he could cause problems for many a Bundesliga defence – just like Brazil international Firmino did before him.”

And, after the £13m-rated ace caught the eye in the Champions League against Liverpool last season, his former teammate Erling Haaland said: “Absolutely crazy – he was brilliant today. He’s so important to the team.”

Meanwhile, former Salzburg head coach Peter Zeidler added: “He’s exceptional, has a brutal dynamism. I’ve rarely seen anything like it.”

With 45 goals and 29 assists in 126 games for the Austrian side, Hwang has proven before that he can be effective at both finding the net himself and setting his teammates up too.

It’s no surprise then that Palace are eyeing a move for the striker this summer.

Everton suffered a setback in their pursuit of European qualification at the weekend, going down 2-1 to Aston Villa at Goodison Park.

Anwar El Ghazi’s 80th-minute winner meant the Blues failed to kick on from a big three points at Arsenal the previous week.

Reflecting on the defeat, The Athletic’s Toffees correspondent Patrick Boyland pointed out the impact of one absentee.

In their eight games without Abdoulaye Doucoure, Everton have picked up just one victory.

In mid-March, the £20million summer signing was ruled out for up to 10 weeks after sustaining a small foot fracture.

According to Boyland, the statistic demonstrates that ‘eyes should be on the midfield again over the summer’.

The Blues recruited three midfielders ahead of the 2020/21 season for a combined fee of £42.5million – Doucoure, Allan and James Rodriguez, but all three have spent at least some time on the sidelines this campaign through injury.
