كشفت تقارير صحفية، أن الدولي البولندي روبرت ليفاندوفسكي، مهاجم فريق كرة القدم الأول بنادي برشلونة الإسباني، مطلوب في الدوري الأمريكي خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية المقبلة.

صاحب الـ35 عامًا، يقضي حاليًا موسمه الثاني مع برشلونة، مع بقاء عامين في عقده مع النادي الكتالوني، بعدما انضم في صيف 2022 قادمًا من بايرن ميونخ.

شبكة “TUDN” الإسبانية، أفادت بأن عدداً من أندية الدوري الأمريكي، تسعى للتعاقد مع اللاعب البولندي خلال الصيف المقبل من برشلونة، لكن الأمر لن يكون سهلًا، نظرًا للوقت المتبقي في عقده مع برشلونة.

كارول سويديرسكي، لاعب منتخب بولندا وزميل ليفاندوفسكي، والذي يلعب لفريق شارلوت إف سي، أكد في وقت سابق من هذا العام، أن مهاجم برشلونة يفكر في الانتقال إلى الدوري الأمريكي.

ومن المتوقع أن تواجه فرق الدوري الأمريكي منافسة شديدة على ليفاندوفسكي من المملكة العربية السعودية، بعدما كان البولندي مطلوبًا في الصيف الماضي من أندية دوري روشن.

الدوري السعودي أنفق، أكثر من 860 مليون دولار في الصيف الماضي على التعاقدات الجديدة، في محاولتها لجعل دوري روشن أحد المسابقات الرائدة في كرة القدم حاليًا.

He hammered his bat into the turf and flung his head down in agony. The Cape Cobras were lined up beside him, having broken free from their celebratory hugs, to pat his back.Carter had bludgeoned his way to a maiden T20 century, but his team-mates toppled around him. Still Barbados Tridents had managed a total of 174. Their bowlers rallied to enforce a Super Over and it was down to Carter again with four needed of the last ball. A last ball that was a full toss. A full toss bowled by little-known offspinner Sybrand Engelbrecht. But when Carter needed his power the most, it was nowhere to be found as an inside edge dribbled away behind the keeper and Barbados Tridents had lost.While he was swallowed in grief, Cobras’ dressing room erupted. Had they lost this game, they would have been out of the CLT20.There were seven single-figure scores strewn amid Carter’s effort. The Tridents suffered two early jolts and their run-rate was below six by the end of the Powerplay. That lack of foundation meant every bottom-handed bludgeon from Carter was highly necessary. Many times, he looked set to swing himself off his feet, the bat swirling back towards the base of his spine during the follow through. The straight boundary received significant attention, as he razed 58 of his runs in the V, including all five of his sixes. He gave the run-rate a much needed boost. Three wickets across eight of his deliveries, followed by a stellar 19th over that cost only five from Ravi Rampaul complicated the chase. Cobras diluted an equation of 13 from six to three from one. Engelbrecht slogged a slower ball to deep square leg and was haring back for an ambitious second. Tridents could have taken the match then, but a less-than accurate throw from Raymon Reifer and a fumble from the wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich pushed it into a Super Over.Rampaul fronted up again and rarely erred in finding the leg-stump yorker. There of them hit their marks, but Levi and Dane Vilas managed to string together 11 runs from the Super Over.The responsibility of defending that fell on Engelbrecht. Cobras had decided pace off the ball was their best chance. But offspinner Dane Piedt was injured and Robin Peterson’s left-arm spin can often be a lottery. So Engelbrecht, who’s acclaim as a fielder outstrips his skills with the ball, was tossed the ball. Carter managed a flat-batted thump to the long-off boundary that had Dilshan Munaweera, who’s 42 was the next best effort in their innings, skipping. Tridents needed seven from four.However, Engelbrecht kept bowling slow. He kept forcing the batsmen to reach outside off and finally stymied Carter on leg stump to steal the game. Something he enjoyed quite a bit considering the way he took off running. It was the first Super Over game he was involved in. It was the first Super Over he has ever bowled. It was a gamble from acting captain Vilas. It worked.

It was a comical end to a frustrating day for Karnataka after Uttar Pradesh’s ninth-wicket pairing of Parvinder Singh and Ankit Rajpoot had kept the hosts at bay for an hour. Vinay Kumar had used every bowler at his disposal, but the UP pair remained resolute.Such was the captain’s frustration that at one point he was even seen holding his head when Robin Uthappa intercepted a push from Rajpoot at long leg. It was Vinay’s first delivery (of what would be his final over of the day) and he had strayed down the leg side. However, Uthappa stopped the four, and the pair ran a single to bring the more settled Parvinder back on strike.But Uthappa immediately made amends. As soon as Vinay asked Manish Pandey to deliver the final over of the day, Uthappa snatched the ball form his team-mate’s hands and convinced his captain to let him bowl. After bowling two short deliveries, Uthappa surprised Pavinder with wayward movement and bounce, and the thin outside edge was picked up easily by Chidhambaram Gautam behind the wicket.Vinay, who had not even taken a start at short cover, could not believe his luck as he joined Uthappa and his team-mates in a loud chuckle. With only RP Singh left to bat, and sitting on a 127-run lead, Karnataka will be hoping for a far more satisfying day tomorrow.That was the kind of day Karnataka had endured. Abhimanyu Mithun then took two quick wickets as UP were four down by lunch. Tanmay Shrivastava was adjudged lbw against Vinay even though the ball appeared to be sailing over the stumps. Vinay then easily got rid of Eklavya Dwivedi to raise hopes of Karnataka batting in the final session. But their poor efforts in the field gave UP a number of reprieves.When UP were on 82, Parvinder stepped out against legspinner Shreyas Gopal. The ball turned away from him, but Gautam failed to knock the bails off cleanly in time, allowing Parvinder to turn back to safety. At that point he was on 14.At the other end, Chawla’s batting gave the impression that he was not going to last long, as he swung at every opportunity. A top edge from him had sailed over the wicketkeeper’s head for a four, and he was dropped on 11 by Karun Nair at point and on 31 by Rahul again. Granted those opportunities, Chawla suddenly started to play with an uncharacteristic patience and both batsmen eventually reached their fifties, much to the annoyance of Karnataka.After tea, Mithun started to hit the deck hard and maintained a consistent off-stump line while moving the ball away from Chawla. Having played and missed the ball on at least four occasions, Chawla finally nicked one behind to Gautam. Mithun then uprooted Amit Mishra’s middle stump to hasten UP’s tail and bring Rajpoot to the crease.Rajpoot, however, did not show any urgency as he only tapped and pushed the ball without taking any risks. As Karnataka tried hard to get a breakthrough, it only allowed Parvinder to punish the bad balls which were coming in big numbers. With a pull against a short delivery from Gopal, he entered the 90s, and a deserving century was on the cards untill Uthappa decided to intervene.Karnataka had started the day with a similar sense of frustration, as a poor effort from their lower order meant that they could add just 52 runs to their overnight score after Amit Mishra picked up six wickets, his second five-for this season.After Nair had gotten out in the final over of the first day, it was left to Gautam to direct and carry forward the dominant position Karnataka had regained after their top-order collapse. Gautam did reach his first century of the season, but received no support from the lower order, as Mishra’s probing morning spell did not allow much freedom to any of the players including Gautam, who became the third Karnataka batsman to get out exactly on 100.

Riding on an accomplished century, Samit Patel took the opportunity to hit out at the England selectors at being overlooked for international duty since February.After play ended following Patel’s fourth century of the season, he expressed his satisfaction with his form throughout the summer and said he was “shocked and disappointed” to have been overlooked by England since the second T20 against New Zealand in Hamilton.Patel said that he had been told by national selector Geoff Miller to be more consistent, which he thought was “harsh”, and believes that his statistics since then have been compelling.”All I can do is get hundreds here,” he said. “Actually I’m very disappointed that England haven’t been in contact in any format of the game. I’m very shocked and surprised but I think that’s the way it goes. My stats at the end of the year should get me back in that team.”I just got told I wasn’t consistent enough, which I thought was very wrong, very harsh. Geoff said I wasn’t consistent, which I wasn’t happy about. It’s unfair but you’ve just got to get on with it. Hopefully with my stats in white-ball cricket this year, I don’t think they can ignore that for too much longer.”Patel is a curious case. He’s played 59 games for England across all the formats, and his statistics stack up well, but sadly he is perhaps best known for doubts about his fitness. But there were no doubts about his fitness here or, indeed, throughout 2013. During his innings on day two he passed 1,000 first class runs for the season for the second time, and while Michael Lumb and James Taylor have marginally better batting averages for Nottinghamshire, neither can match his weight of runs. O anúncio de que o calendário nacional em 2020 será aberto com a Supercopa do Brasil exigirá da CBF um grande desafio. Previsto para o dia 22 de janeiro do próximo ano, o embate entre os campeões da Copa do Brasil e do Brasileirão do ano anterior tenta, enfim, emplacar, décadas após ser deixado de lado e cair no esquecimento.

Marcadas por formatos diferentes e fiasco de público, o LANCE!recorda como foram as outras duas edições da Supercopa do Brasil de Futebol.

1990: ‘MICADA’ PELO CALENDÁRIO INCHADO

O tom obscuro marcou a primeira edição da Supercopa do Brasil. Devido ao inchaço no calendário, a CBF optou por uma alternativa inusitada. Como Grêmio e Vasco mediriam forças no Grupo 5 da Copa Libertadores de 1990, quem se saísse melhor nos dois jogos seria declarado o primeiro campeão da competição.

Centroavante do Grêmio naquela edição da Libertadores, Nilson não escondeu sua surpresa ao saber que os duelos valiam título de outro torneio:

– Nunca soube disso! Ninguém da diretoria falava para a gente, desse negócio de Supercopa do Brasil… Nosso clima antes do jogo era de que a gente ia enfrentar uma partida pesada de Libertadores, contra um time muito bom do Vasco na nossa estreia – revelou, ao LANCE!.

Disputado em 14 de março, o jogo de ida (também válido pela primeira rodada da competição continental) começou com 35 minutos de atraso, devido à falta de energia elétrica no Olímpico. Campeão da Copa do Brasil, o Tricolor gaúcho venceu por 2 a 0, com gols de Nilson e Darci:

– Sempre tive muita sorte quando joguei contra o Acácio (goleiro do Vasco na época). Mesmo se perdesse, eu fazia gols nele. E nesse jogo, eu fiz um gol de cabeça, depois de uma jogada do Adilson Heleno. O “Darcizinho”, que era nosso ponta, que também estava numa grande fase, fez o outro gol.

Apoiador do Cruz-Maltino naquele ano, Tita também mostrou espanto ao saber que disputara um troféu à parte nos dois jogos da Copa Libertadores com os gremistas:

– Não fazia a menor ideia. Nós estávamos voltados para a Copa Libertadores. Lembro que o Vasco vinha muito animado para a competição, com um time bom, que tinha vencido a Taça Guanabara e era base da Seleção Brasileira, com Bebeto, Bismarck, Acácio… Estes dois jogos com o Grêmio foram muito pesados. Lutamos muito no grupo, mas conseguimos passar para a outra fase (da Libertadores).

Depois de enfrentarem os paraguaios Cerro Porteño e Olimpia no decorrer da primeira fase, Vasco e Grêmio fizeram o jogo de volta (por ambas as competições) em São Januário. Debaixo de muita chuva, o duelo do dia 18 de abril terminou em 0 a 0, deixando a Supercopa do Brasil nas mãos do Tricolor gaúcho.

– É bom eu saber. Tenho mais um título para eu botar no currículo! – diz Nilson.

Curiosamente, a vitória que rendeu a Supercopa do Brasil não foi suficiente para o Tricolor gaúcho seguir na Copa Libertadores: a equipe foi lanterna do Grupo 5, tendo só este triunfo em seis jogos.

1991: NOVO FORMATO, MAS COM FIASCO DE PÚBLICO

A edição de 1991 da Supercopa do Brasil teve um formato bem próximo do que a CBF propõe para a temporada de 2020. Na abertura do ano, em 27 de janeiro, o Morumbi foi palco do duelo entre o campeão brasileiro Corinthians e o Flamengo, que se sagrara campeão da Copa do Brasil de 1990.

Contudo, nem mesmo o confronto entre as duas maiores torcidas do país rendeu grande público: a busca pelo títulos levou 2.706 pagantes ao Morumbi. Segundo o “Jornal dos Sports”, o jogo foi afetado pelo feriadão do aniversário de São Paulo (o dia 24 de janeiro ocorreu em uma quinta-feira) e pela chuva que caíra na capital no dia anterior.

Autor do gol do título corintiano, Neto contou como foi o ambiente entre os jogadores às vésperas do jogo decisivo com o Rubro-Negro:

-Na verdade, não tinha na época aquela expectativa tão grande para o título. Tanto é que o jogo foi disputado em janeiro e o estádio estava meio vazio.

Defensor do Flamengo naquela tarde, Rogério também recordou o baixo público:

– A lembrança que eu tenho era de não ter muita gente, de na época ser considerado um torneio com pouca relevância. Além disto, era início de temporada, todos nós estávamos muito sem ritmo.

Neto atribuiu a vitória do Timão à dedicação dos jogadores diante de um Flamengo que já se mostrava bem forte no Morumbi:

-O Flamengo tinha um timaço e a gente, obviamente, queria ganhar deles. Eles tinham praticamente o time que seria campeão brasileiro no ano seguinte.

Rogério detalhou como estava o Fla que, na época, era treinado por Vanderlei Luxemburgo:

– Era um time bem mesclado. Tinha a experiência doJúnior, mas trazia nomes como Zinho, Paulo Nunes, Djalminha, Marcelinho… A gente venceu a Copa do Brasil jogando bem, levando a sério a competição.

O gol da vitória do Corinthians aconteceu aos 25 minutos da etapa final. Giba cruzou da direita e, após falha de Zé Carlos, Neto mandou para a rede.

-Falar do Giba me deixa até emocionado, porque foi um amigo que se foi muito cedo. Era um cara de grupo e tinha o respeito de todos. Um baita lateral que se jogasse hoje estaria fácil em algum clube grande da Europa – recordou o então camisa 10 corintiano.

O craque da equipe que tinha sido campeã brasileira de 1990 contou o que pesou para o triunfo sobre o Flamengo no Morumbi:

– Foi a raça e a entrega que todos tinham. Tecnicamente, a maioria tinha até suas limitações, mas não faltava vontade pra ninguém.

A iniciativa da CBF em promover a volta da Supercopa do Brasil foi valorizada por jogadores que disputaram as edições anteriores. Aos olhos de Nilson, a competição é uma forma de estender a competição entre os vencedores da Copa do Brasil e o Campeonato Brasileiro. No entanto, o ex-centroavante deixa um alerta à entidade.

– Eu acho legal, para haver uma rivalidade entre os clubes. Mas o único problema é a questão de calendário. A gente vê no início do ano que os jogadores não estão preparados fisicamente depois de 20, 25 dias de pré-temporada. Muito jogador tem chance de estar sem ritmo adequado – diz o campeão da Supercopa do Brasil de 1990.

Vencedor da Supercopa do Brasil de 1991, Neto espera que a competição engrene de vez no futebol nacional:

-Ah, eu acho legal. Poxa, já existe essa disputa nas principais ligas. Só aqui não tinha. Espero que engrene. Eu guardo com carinho na minha memória o título.

Tita também mostra otimismo com a entrada da Supercopa do Brasil no calendário:

– Faltava no Brasil termos um tira-teima entre o campeão brasileiro e o campeão da Copa do Brasil. Isto vai dar muito ânimo para os torcedores e, sem dúvida, para os jogadores também.

Rogério também mostra expectativa quanto à competição. Porém, diz que ela só emplacará se for bem planejada:

– A Supercopa do Brasil tem que ser bem divulgada, jogada em um lugar bem atrativo. Acredito que no início seja difícil de cair nas graças da torcida. Mas, aos poucos, com um lugar planejado com antecedência, a competição tem tudo para fazer parte de vez do calendário brasileiro.

A mention of his name might provoke a double raised eyebrow.It’s been a while since Troughton was in the wider public conscious; a decade since the grandson of Doctor Who played for England. His international career, six ODIs, may have alighted and fizzled out as quickly as a faulty sparkler but Troughton has continued to serve his county very well, now as captain.He has never bettered his first full season in county cricket. 1,067 runs at 50.80 in 2002 were not a precursor to the international careers his Warwickshire colleagues Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott have enjoyed but a sign of talent that could be productive in the county game for many years.Troughton’s 84 on the first day against Durham was a captain’s innings by the dictionary definition; a carefully crafted, mature innings that his side needed to get the better of the day. He was made to work hard and forced to rebuild with five different partners as Warwickshire failed to produce a stand to really hurt Durham.”Me and Laurie had a good stand and that was the chance to make a really big partnership,” Troughton said of the 77 he and Laurie Evans added for the fourth wicket. “We had a couple of other partnerships that would been nice to capitalise on but it was actually hard to score as the ball got soft. Even though it’s a nice-paced wicket, it was hard to pierce the field and my dismissal I just got a bit greedy with and tried to hit it for four.”Being put in and making 300 we are happy. We’re probably a couple of wickets down more than we would have liked but we’ve still got two guys in that can score big runs so tomorrow morning will be a big session for us. I still think we’re capable of making 400.”For two sessions it appeared Warwickshire were on their way to a score that could take control of the game. At 188 for 3 shortly before tea, Paul Collingwood might have been regretting his decision to bowl first. A braver captain might have paid less attention to the thick cloud cover. But with bowlers that are especially productive at this time of year, he would justifiably argue that he was playing to his side’s strengths.There was a little moisture under the surface and there was a little swing in the air but 91 for 2 at lunch represented a poor morning for Durham. They hadn’t bowled badly but the batsman had watched and left well, particularly Ian Westwood who had looked very solid until Chris Rushworth shaped a full ball past his off-drive.Westwood’s dismissal was indicative of the day. Will Porterfield, Evans and Tim Ambrose also got themselves settled only to get out. Partnerships grew and then disappeared like the afternoon sunshine that threatened a lovely day before being smothered by cloud that was directed by stiff gusts that had players chasing their caps all day.Durham were delighted at Porterfield chopping Rushworth to point and Evans driving very loosely, edging Calum Thorp to slip. They were wickets that balanced the day before Durham threatened to win it after tea with 3 for 3 in four overs.Ambrose chopped on, Rikki Clarke – hit on the head first ball – cut a wide Will Smith ball and edged to the keeper and when Troughton chipped a catch to mid on, the scoreboard was closer to what Collingwood had hoped for. But Warwickshire’s much-vaunted lower-order began their work and a well-timed cut from Keith Barker and a classic cover drive from Chris Woakes hinted at what might be to come.
